Before pursuing photography, Catherine worked full-time as an administrative professional at the University of Waterloo. Her many years of experience gained in event planning and office management add a special quality to Catherine’s approach. She’s able to understand the process of an event and the importance of keeping within timelines. She isn’t afraid of shifting schedules and can adapt to changes that happen quickly.

Catherine is active in her community and is quite committed to learning more about Waterloo Region and what it means to run a business here. She is a graduate of the Leadership Waterloo Region Community Leadership Development Program (class of 2010). She continues her work with Leadership Waterloo Region by volunteering on their annual Fire & Ice Gala Planning Committee. Catherine also belongs to two business networking groups for local Waterloo Region entrepreneurs. WINC (Waterloo Incorporated) is a networking group for entrepreneurial women with an incredible reach. Meeting of the Minds is a special collaboration of budding entrepreneurs who need a safe space to discuss the challenges each face while growing their small business.

Catherine is a passionate traveller. As a photographer Catherine has worked all over the world, from Aruba, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, & India. Personally, Catherine and her husband Trevor, have travelled extensively through the US, UK, & Central America. She will travel anywhere to capture special moments and hopes to add a Costa Rica Wedding to her portfolio very soon!

In addition to travelling, Catherine enjoys walking and makes sure to set aside at least 3 hours a week to devote to walking. Cooking, writing, entertaining, and desserts are among Catherine’s additional loves. She will take every opportunity to have friends and family in her home for an evening of eats and drinks.

Catherine enjoys mixing different forms of photography together with a strong emphasis on portrait and documentary photography. She approaches each shoot with the same goal of telling a unique and beautiful story. She looks forward to working on many projects and applying her technique to all her projects.
